Freight carriers and charges
Most parcels under 5kg will be sent via Australia post express bags, larger parcels 2-100kg will go via road courier. Pallet and large equipment orders with travel on semi-trailer truck carriers. Customers must ensure their property provide adequate road space for larger trucks to enter and exit, if they are requiring door to door delivery.
For local ‘Greater Melbourne’ customers, a parcel courier is most often used to ensure safe arrival of goods, prompt delivery and delivery receipt confirmation is provided.
For large items , products are most often strapped to a pallet, thus carriers often assume that the receiver has a forklift at the property to unload goods safely off the truck. If you don’t have a fork lift, please advise us in advance to see what arrangements can be made using a taxi truck with tailgate for unloading. Most often 3 rd party carrier will not unload pallets manually without prior arrangements made. Extra charges may apply. Cheaper options are to collect goods from the carriers nearest depot with your own trailer.
